Where to Buy- New Addition!

I'm happy to announce some of my pieces are now available at Coal Miner's Daughter on Queen West (more to come within the next week or two).  The store just opened a week or two ago by the two ladies with another boutique (by the same name) below my atelier, Krysten and Janine.

So... next time you're walking along Queen Street, pop into #744 Queen St. West.

Funny how I was originally looking right around the corner from this spot... and now, even though I'm not there, I kinda am.

Almost Done! Week 3 - 3 1/2

Everything has been falling into place, deliveries on time-ish and in one piece.  Still working on signage with my next door neighbours, who own The Lettering Shop, but will have that all figured out by the end of the week.  Some photos to share from the last week and a bit...

Mark installed custom floating shelves on either side of the fireplace.  What a beautiful job!

The oversized mirror arrived last night.  My dad gave me a picture frame that he wasn't using anymore, I painted it (used to be gold) and had Gerrard Glass & Mirror install a mirror to fit.
Naked Stella sitting on a chair I refurbished myself not too long ago (I will have to put some clothing on her today).

Sparks are flying!  My brother Mark is fixing the front doors (and Tanya is excited).

I forgot to take a photo of the new glass table, she is sooo pretty!  Here's the other side of the fireplace and a temporary rolling rack, until I figure that all out.

I still have zero clue where the ladies will change?  That's about it for now...

Hope to see you all soon at the atelier!

Atelier (Week 1-2)... A mini renovation

It's been just over two weeks since I acquired my new space for the atelier, 587 Markham Street.  Some photos to share of the two weeks...

just primed my first wall, a textured wallpaper that had a bit too much sparkle for my liking (not that there's anything wrong with sparkle... I'd just rather it be on clothing)

my brother D freshening up the ceiling

he painted the ceiling, walls x 2, and doors/trim all in one day...
it was a long day, but we had a cooler full of beers to help us through the day...

brought Lola (the mannequin) in to display a dress in the window in the meantime

the new hangout... public drinking at its finest!  it is private property, but does seem to be the spot lately for after work beers.

Lola's so pretty in the night!
Walls painted here, still need to fix that striped floor (sorry Ma, I know you thought it was cute, but she's gotta go!)

a bit of evening business on the NEW FLOOR!  how sexy is that!  Thanks to my cousin Andrij and his company Painting Solutions...

More photos to share next time.  Custom shelving is being installed this week, furniture to be delivered, and me to move in soon.
